Hi to all

We left Echuca on Tuesday morning for the final leg of our trip.  As a bit of a farewell party, we were woken up by the serenading from every kookaburra in the region, fine normally, but not at 6am.  A couple of them hung around to greet us when we decided to get up.  Sitting up there in their tree, looking so smug with their see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil stance.

From Echuca we headed over to Brim to check out the Silo Art Work.  Let me tell you, it was well worth the visit.  The town?? of Brim should be the artistic capital of Australia.  Even though it only has a population of about 100 people, the Silo Art is just awesome.

It was painted by the artist Guido van Helten.  He painted the silos using a cherry picker and a spray gun.  It only took him 3 weeks to complete his art work which is unbelievable seeing as the silo's are 29.6 metres high and 44 metres wide.  The artwork was officially opened on the 5th of January, 2016.

After our artistic appreciation, we decided to stay in the town of Brim.  They have a small park just at the end of  the main street, where they have toilets and showers.  They have power connections there and it only costs $10 per night.  Great value.

There was no tv reception there so it was time to go and collect some wood and light a campfire. 2 other caravans pulled in and before you knew it, we had a gathering of 6 people, all sitting around the campfire,  and all enjoying the fantastic surroundings, as well of course with whatever type of other beverage took your mind.

In one of my more pensive moments during the night, I took a great photo of the moon, sitting between some branches.  Would have to win the Pulitzer prize or its photographic equivalent.

Also looked into the eyes of the devil and took his photo.  If you look into the fire, to the left, you can see his eye and his open mouth.  Looked like it at about 10pm.  Maybe I am just seeing things, or was it that demon drink.

Anyway that was it.  Saddled up the van this morning and headed to our final destination of Hamilton.

We have settled into the caravan park and did a bit of town research this afternoon.  So much to do here, with numerous clubs, cultural centre, cinema and sporting events.

Will speak to you again soon.  We will be heading up to Parkes for the Elvis Festival in January, followed straight away by the Tamworth Music Festival.  Plenty for the blog then....

Barry and Deb.
